A photographer, cottage gardener and retired elementary school teacher known as “Mother Monarch” to her students who learned the butterfly’s life cycle with her guidance, Lucinda wanted to teach the world to take time to enjoy the simple close-up splendor of a butterfly, a bird, or single flower. Out of her passions grew Lucinda Photography, a collection of flower, bird, and butterfly studies that take you inside the petals of garden flowers, feathers, and lepidoptera wings.
“In our rushed, time-crazed world, I want to give a moment to pause and take in the glamour, expression, and modern architecture of flowers, feathers, and butterflies which are so complex in their simplicity,” she says. “It’s a view that few have time to take pleasure in,” says Lucinda, of her up-close images.
